Project Brief:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Project was identified by PEDO-GTZ in 1992. Feasibility was conducted in 2008-2011. Total cost of the project is 13,998.89 million. The Project area is situated near village Koto and is within the Administrative District of Lower Dir along Panjkora River on (NHA – N45 road). It is 7 km from Timergara along Timergara-Dir-Chitral metaled road, which provides an access to the left bank of the Project area. The right bank is accessible through Munjai road after crossing the Panjkora River through Wadigram Bridge. The right abutment of weir axis is about 2km from this bridge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    • Land Acquisition issues for Box channel, Powerhouse, switchyard, surge shaft, colony etc.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • Social Issues in Box channel, sandtrap and Weir.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • Issuance of license for transportation and Storage of Explosive for tunnel Excavation.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • Security issues of Chinese Staff.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • Entrance of Flood water at Powerhouse area.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • Additional work of Munjia Bridge crossing at Box channel required by C&W Department.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • Issuance of Import certificate from Federal Power Division that halted the E&M equipment supply from Jan 2020 till August 2021.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • COVID \u2013 19 outbreak.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

    • LCs issue. Project equipment arrived in Sep 2022 yet to be cleared from Foreign Exchange Operation Department FOED State Bank of Pakistan due to foreign reserves issue.<\/span><\/p><\/li>
