This pioneering project is a testament to PEDO\u2019s commitment to advancing the energy infrastructure and autonomy of the province.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The formal signing ceremony took place at the Chief Minister\u2019s House in Peshawar, where PEDO\u2019s leadership and representatives of M\/S Netracon Technologies Ltd. finalized the agreement in the presence of the Chief Minister and provincial cabinet members. This milestone project will see a 40-kilometer, 132\/220 KV transmission line constructed from Matiltan to Madian. With an estimated budget of Rs.8 billion, the project is set for completion within 18 months, reflecting PEDO\u2019s dedication to timely, high-impact initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This new transmission line will facilitate the seamless transfer of electricity generated by PEDO\u2019s 84 MW Matiltan Hydropower Project and other provincial projects in Swat, enabling efficient distribution either to the national grid or to local industries at reduced rates. Not only will this project enhance energy access in the region, but it is also projected to generate substantial revenue for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa\u2014an estimated Rs.7 billion annually.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Moreover, this transmission line represents the first phase of the Swat Corridor Transmission Line project, with plans for a second phase to extend an additional 80 kilometers from Madian to Chakdara.
