Electrification of Villages Through Alternate Energy, Phase II

Project Brief:

As the result of devastating flood of 2015 in District Chitral, the Reshun Hydropower was completely destroyed & locals left with no other source of electricity. Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in such a hard time, transferred one of its ADP schemes of solarization project on emergent basis to District Chitral, which facilitated the effected community of 26,250 Households which gave a visible relief to the locality. Later on, high-capacity generators were shifted to the affected area to the to provide electricity. Reshun HPP is now has been restored with enhanced capacity of 4.8 MW which is successfully providing cheap electricity to the area.

2750 Homes (as per Original PC-I) with additional 1000 Homes (as per 2nd Revised PC-1), total 3750 solar systems have been provided in the scheme providing power to the remote homes of District Upper Chitral.
