Project Brief:
The proposed Project is located on Barandoo River, a right tributary of the Indus River between Mujahidin and Dadam villages of District Torghar. The Project area is located at about 173 km from Peshawar towards the North-East and 230 km from Islamabad in the North-West direction in District Torghar at 34°-46’ to 34°- 42’ latitudes and 72o -77’ to 72o -72’ longitudes. Geographically, it is bordered to the north by District Shangla & District Batgram, to the south by District Swabi/Mardan, to the west by District Buner, and to the East by District Mansehra.

The Feasibility Review Report has been submitted and thereafter commented on by the PEDO.
Topographic Survey has been Completed.
Transmission Line Survey in Progress.
Challenges/Delays Faced During the Project:
- A delay has occurred in the PC-I projected dates due to the incumbent processes involved in the Bidding and thereafter Award of the Consultancy Agreement.
- Presently, the Project is in Pre-Construction Phase without substantial delay with respect to the Schedule incorporated in the Consultancy Agreement.
