Project Brief:

Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is committed to develop viable and affordable solution to Current energy crisis. The prime objective of this project was the provision of economically viable, technically feasible, cost efficient and environment friendly electricity supply.

Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa initiated Solarization of 1151 Masajid in District Swat and 440 Masajid in District Peshawar. The scheme delivered socio-economic benefits to the community. The project provided the community with energy for social and religious gatherings. This energy source also has positive impacts by displacing other energy sources such as candles or kerosene for lighting which can have associated fire and indoor air quality risks as well as associated emissions reductions.

Each masjid is provided with PV panels, Inverter, Battery, (7-15) Energy Efficient Led Lights, (5-15) Energy Efficient Ceiling Fans along with provision of electricity to 0,75HP Water Pump and a Loud Speaker through solar system.
