Project Brief
The project is located on Siran
River, a left tributary of Indus River. The weir site of the project is located
about 1 km up stream of Jabori near Village Sacha, while the powerhouse is
located near Granthali Village about 3 km downstream of Jabori. The scheme has
been identified by SHYDO (Now PEDO), with the technical assistance of GTZ,
within the studies for Hazara region, during preparation of the master plan for
hydropower development in Northern Areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

physically completed in all respects since Dec, 2022 but due to connectivity
problem and non-approval of EPA, it could not be made operational.

occurred due to extreme poor geological condition encountered in Tunnel.

Operation is delayed due to non-finalization of Energy Purchase Agreement (EPA)
